Sure, the title of this blog seems arrogant and presumptuous. I think it's bold, and I am in no way an expert on the subject. However, it's one of my goals to really enjoy life and to have a fullness of joy in this life. Not only for me but, to enjoy the accomplishments of others, my friends, my family, my children and anyone who wants to share . I have often admired those who are examples of really living life to the fullest. Many have done awe-inspiring and astounding physical things like climbing a mountain peak with incredible barriers, and others have done marvelous selfless works of giving and caring for others with little fanfare.
Someone once said, "There is no bigger sin than a life not lived. A life not lived is an oxymoron. Life has to be lived. Every human being, from the moment of birth, gets options to enjoy life at the fullest. As human beings we have more options than all other species. We make choices, and those in turn affect someone either for good or for bad. Right?
We can choose how our life can be full or empty. And what is it meant by a full life? Does it mean we go to work, come back home, have dinner, and go to sleep? How is one meant to live a full life? Do you have to be wealthy, do you have to have an Ivy League education or be a rock star?
Success in life is relative; some may have huge successful life as a movie star and not really find happiness... Ultimately, how one interacts with three things; your spouse or significant other, your children and your friends, measures a full life. Simplified, I would look at these as two structures; your family and society. Each of these structures needs to be planned, built and maintained to achieve a full life. From my experience I can see how many times the planning, building and maintaining of these life structures is not done or is done with no or little forethought.
True happiness or a full life can be a measured - but not by oneself - but rather by others. This is a place where all can write freely about; goals, good intentions, and creative ideas. This “Place” is an outlet for, ideas, stories, complements and experiences that might be used for inspiration.
A place where we never take too much for granted, laugh, and talk about the past and the future. Ways we've lived, ways we changed or want to change or not, just ideas for living life to the fullest.
